Bottle Top Dispensers, Optifix® Basic, Optifix® Solvent, Optifix® Safety and Universal Optifix® HF Hydrofluoric Acid

  Overview

Optifix® Dispensers are available in four models: Basic, Solvent, Safety, and Hydrofluoric Acid (HF). Each is designed to increase efficiency and provide additional safety to daily laboratory operations. Optifix® dispensers are manufactured to the highest quality standards, insuring accurate, reliable, and easy dispensing.

The shafts, on the 0.2-1 mL to 20-100 mL sizes, are marked with a color-coded model name for quick and easy identification. Each dispenser comes with a PTFE intake tube and two adapters (40mm and 45mm) made with PP (polypropylene) in the case of Basic and Solvent models, PTFE in case of Safety and HF models. All models are supplied with an integrated 38mm base for use with most standard bottles. The adapters are screwed on to the integrated base as needed.

Optifix® Basic Dispensers are for dispensing aqueous solutions, light acids and crystallizing liquids. The piston is glass sheathed in thick PTFE. The unit is autoclavable up to 121°C.


Optifix® Basic Dispenser 		Features of the Optifix® Basic Dispensers:
  • PTFE encased dispensing piston
  • Visible dispensing process by the use of a dispensing cylinder made of glass, coated with plastic-protection against breakage
  • Ergonomic finger protection cap is Blue for Basic Dispensers
  • Fast and easy volume setting with additional fine adjustment
  • FIX adapter made of white PP up to 10 mL; FIX adapter made of solid white PP from 30 mL size
  • Valve block made of PTFE, no metal springs in the valve - no corrosion


The Optifix® Solvent Dispensers are for dispensing organic solvents and materials that swell PTFE. The piston is glass. The unit is autoclavable up to 121°C.

The Optifix® Solvent Dispenser with Vapor Trap for organic solvents and materials that swell PTFE is a solvent dispenser that has a special solid PTFE Trap designed to trap organic vapors, moisture or gasses. Trap can be filled with adsorbent of choice; charcoal, molecular sieve, silica gel or dessicant.

  • Ergonomic finger protection cap is Red for Solvent Dispensers

  • FIX adapter made of white PP up to 10 mL; FIX adapter made of solid white PP from 30 mL size
  • Valve block made of PTFE, no metal springs in the valve - no corrosion


The Optifix® Safety Dispenser is for fuming acids, brominated compounds and other strong smelling or aggressive reagents. The piston is glass sheathed in thick PTFE. Additional lipseal prevents fumes from escaping. The unit is not autoclavable.

The Optifix® Safety S Dispenser can be used for safe dispensing of fuming acids and other corrosive liquids. It has triple sealing for, working safety: an additional safety valve in the ventilation channel, by the sealing lip at the end of the dosing piston, and through the PTFE-safety stopcock. All Optifix® Safety S dispensers are tested according to the ISO standard 8655.

  • Fast and easy volume setting with additional fine adjustment
  • FIX adapter made of PTFE
  • Valve block made of PTFE, no metal springs in the valve - no corrosion

The Optifix® HF Dispenser is for all liquids that can be handled with the Optifix dispensers, plus hydrofluoric acid (HF). A universal dispenser for use with (almost) all liquids. Sapphire ball valves and PTFE valve fittings create an inert system. The unit is not autoclavable.
