Overview

The VOcool 200 and the VOcool 400 Cooled Vacuum Drying Ovens are unique laboratory ovens that replace freeze dryers for applications that require delicate treatment than a harsh freeze dried process provides. With low temperature vacuum drying unstable substances or delicate bacterial strains can be dried at modest temperatures above freezing without causing as much damage.

The VOcool cooled vacuum drying ovens also allow the possibility of using programmed transport and storage simulations to determine the behavior of active ingredients or other substances under different temperature and pressure conditions.

An extremely accurate Peltier cooling unit guarantees a surface temperature distribution with low deviation, across the entire temperature range. Digital pressure control, ramp programming of temperature and vacuum cycles and the heating and cooling of the VO thermoshelves allow for quick processing and nullifies the effect of residual humidity.

The VOcool 200 and the VOcool 400 Cooled Vacuum Drying Ovens share the common features of all the Memmert Vacuum Drying Ovens, with outstanding construction using stainless steel and aluminum thermoshelves. An extended temperature range is available as an option, as well as options that are available on all drying ovens in the Generation 2003 series.
