Fabric Housed Heating Mantles and Heated Top Cover Mantles

Overview

Heating mantles are preferred to Bunsen burners or hotplates for organic liquids. They provide even heating and maximum surface coverage for better temperature uniformity. These fabric housed mantles could be used on top of magnetic stirrers and provide an excellent alternative to heating of a stirring water or oil bath.

A range of common sizes is available for use with all types of round bottom flasks and each unit could be further equipped if needed with a separate heated top cover for enhanced performance. The units feature Nickel Chrome Heating Elements and each unit could be connected to an optional analog or digital Controller.

These units are available in 115 Volt as well as 230 Volts meeting electrical requirements. The following flask sizes/mantles are available - 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 mL and could operate at a maximum temperature of 450ºC. Optional certificates of traceability are available.

The Analog Controller is a solid state proportional voltage power control that provides precise manual control of heating mantles, tapes, cords and other resistive loads. The output range is conveniently adjustable from 5 – 100% of rated voltage, up to 1.2 kW. It also features an electrical lighted On/Off power switch, circuit breaker protection, 3-wire line cord with molded plug. The Digital Remote Controller can be used from Ambient +5 to 700ºC with ±1ºC uniformity at Set Temp
