Electrothermal Multi (Extraction) Heating Mantles and Heating/Stirring Mantles, 3 and 6-Position
Overview
Electrothermal Multi-position mantles with three or six recesses have built-in electronic controllers and offer a choice of heater only (EME3 and EME6) or heater/stirrer (EMEA3 and EMEA6) combination models.
The Electrothermal EME3, EME6, EMEA3, and EMEA6 have been long time favorites for multiple extraction and digestion applications, but they are equally at home whenever heating and or stirring of multiple flasks is required.
Features of the EME3 and EME6 Heaters and the EME3 and EMEA6 Heater/Stirrers:
Individual built-in solid state electronic controls enables easy regulation of heater, while removing sparking associated with mechanical switching
Support rods are included (12.7 mm diameter)
Accommodates round bottom flask capacity from 100 mL to 1000 mL at all positions
Maximum temperature up to 450 ºC
Polypropylene top cover with external powder coated aluminum surface for good chemical resistance
Coiled heating element is suspended within a thermal insulating cartridge to provide maximum heat transfer
Earth (ground) screen encloses the heater for added safety
Individual heater cartridges are replaceable
Pilot light shows power on
Vented case’s unique air flow ensures the case remains cool to the touch
EMEA3 and EMEA6 models allow stirring and heating simultaneously for more versatility in chemical synthesis laboratories
All stirring models allow variable stirring speeds, from 50 – 1000 rpm
One stirring control for each set of 3 recesses
