Fixed-calibrated selection of 100%, 70%, 50%, or 30% Intensity

Electronic Variable Intensity UV Transilluminators reduce the risk of nicking, bleaching and/or dimerization during preparatory or visualization of DNA/RNA gels.  A calibrated intensity dial provides a selection of 100%, 70%, 50%, or 30% intensity.

The 100% intensity position yields 8000 to 9000 microwatts/cm² (at filter surface) of 300 nm output allowing visualization of ethidium bromide-stained plasmid DNA banks.

Available in two sizes: Standard-size (15-watt tubes) and Mid-size (8-watt tubes).  Due to electronic ballast efficiency, the 8-watt Mid-Size provides a greater intensity than 15-watt magnetic ballast transilluminators. 300 nm versions can be changed to 254 nm or 365 nm by changing tubes.
